SO WHAT BROUGHT MIKE TO THIS POINT IN LIFE?
Mike McConnell was born the son of poor sharecroppers (joke from a bad Steve Martin movie) and was later discovered to be the prodgeny of Jesus and Mary Magdelin. Not bad at carpentry, either. Mike's always been known to share his loaves and fishes. That's why there's so much free food around The Big One. Mike's quest is to make sure no one goes hungry and to always have a fresh pot of coffee made for all.
Mike's been hosting Middays on 700WLW for the past 20 years (he started young) and besides The Big One his weekday program can be heard in other markets such as Atlanta, Minneapolis and Orlando to name a few. His Saturday program, "The Weekend with Mike McConnell" is heard on over 100 stations across America. Mike is one of the most listened to radio personalities in the Midwest and is known for his quick wit and common sense approach to discussions.
Mike grew up near Philadelphia and dreamed that someday he would work for a company who would have someone on staff who could write a bio instead of making this up for himself. That's why this job fell upon the Program Director of 700WLW. Mike is the eternal optimist, who continues to dream. But, as long as the PD will do the job, why not be optimistic. Who's the fool?
